what can i recycle?

If it’s aluminium, we can recycle it. Yes, even if it’s covered in colour.

We also recycle your hair waste.

We recycle any hair types and hair trimmings of any length.

  • A whole head of foils, or the foil that you wrapped your sandwich in! If it’s made of aluminium it can go in the recycling bin.

  • Most hairsprays and deodorants are recyclable - but they MUST be EMPTY!

  • Empty soda or beer cans are good to go.

  • These may not be #1 on the salon list, but you never know… Please note, empty containers MUST be CLEAN. Takeaway anyone?

  • Recycle your aluminium colour tubes as well as any other aluminium cosmetics tubes. We only want your used tubes and we can’t accept full tubes.

  • If you can scrunch your chocolate wrapper, you can recycle it…

  • Recycle your metal bottle tops, commonly found in salons on wine bottles and olive oil bottles.

  • Your pot noodle or yoghurt might just have a recyclable lid. Do the scrunch test to find out if it can be recycled.

  • We recycle and compost any hair types and trimmings of any length. Basically, we recycle ALL and ANY hair.

The Scrunch test

Scrunch the item into a ball in the palm of your hand and then open your hand. If it stays scrunched up in a ball, it’s aluminium, but if it’s springs back up it’s made from plastic.

aerosols often get forgotten…

In the UK we spray our way through 650 million aerosol cans every year – That’s roughly 27 in every household!

Unfortunately, many aerosols never make it into the recycling bin and instead end up eternally loitering in landfill.

Here’s where you come in. With your help we can save these lonely aerosols and transform their futures by making sure that (once they’re EMPTY) we recycle each and every one of them – they could become a bike, a phone or even a pair of sunglasses.
